All animals, domestic and wild need looked after. In this area lot of  Ferrel cats in the neighborhood. Most of their owners just left them behind when they lost their homes after the big crash in 2008. It was obvious they were hungry so I took to putting put cat food for them.  My daughter in law gave me the idea to join a program where you get a trap cage from the Humane Society, put the cat food in the cage, trapping the Ferrel cat. After the cat is trapped you take it to the humane society, and for a very small fee, they spade or neuter the cat, give the animal a  Rabies  shot. You then pick the cat back up and take it home and turn it loose. It prevents the cats from having litters of kittens and protects them from getting rabies from other animals.  Everybody should participate in this type of program.
